Class 3 are on the brink of disaster: tactile Drew is a safeguarding hazard, Chloe’s obsession with Ryan threatens her friendship with queen bee Kaylee, and a noxious misunderstanding threatens the career of teacher Mr Finch. It’s just as well mobile phones aren’t allowed in school – the last thing anyone needs is the parents finding out. They couldn’t find out… could they?

Originally due to premiere in 2020, James Lark’s new musical has been the victim of a pandemic-related delay... until now! Join us for a special gala performance as this exciting piece of theatre hits the stage at long last. Director Ian McFarlane (The Revellers Society, Forever Oz) adds his trademark pace and visual flair to an exhilarating score by the award-winning composer of Tony Blair the Musical and The Snow Spider, with songs veering from childlike simplicity to sophisticated anfractuosity (that’s a grown-up word for complicated).

We can promise toe-tapping tunes, highs, lows and more than a few tantrums. There might be a few naughty words and you will certainly meet a few naughty characters. But after a single calamitous day, we can’t guarantee that everyone will be coming back to school tomorrow…
